I started a post on Facebook SW for this topic - planning on trying for mid to late October for an official SW Regional OTGR. Check out the FB post as the poll will be helpful information for the planning. I'm not familiar with the trip in this thread - need to read up the chain which I'll do now.

Welcome and sorry we missed you on this past weekend's trip. There will be more. I love SW CO and spend lot's of time there. Will ping you when we come back up. Let me know if you ever want to come down the Albuquerque direction.

The route will def allow for that - couple of options for you from Denver: best option for where we will be on Saturday morning is to get to Lake City sometime first half of Saturday. Our current plan is to pass through Lake City around Lunch on Saturday.

Camped around Steamboat last year - some good options just south of town going up the hill / mountain. Some nice NF along that. Otherwise, some really good stuff west of SB, but about 45 minutes west. Check the maps - lots of NF to the west. Sent from my iPad using OB Talk
