similar to above - and not a stupid question at all - i use some tubular webbing, cut to about 15' feet in length and use a carabiner to clip to them the mounting peg hole (on each corner of the maxtrax). I only use them if boggy or i have a chance of really burying them. I have the long...
Watch out for this @Wawa Skittletits fellow - he's a trouble maker for sure. He shows in norther PA but really lives on an unknown private island lair made from an active volcano in the middle of Lake Erie.
Just kidding - he's an awesome guy.
Welcome! Quick side story on the height of a garage - I got my Disco 2 stuck under a water pipe three levels down in a garage in Boston cause I thought they were padding the number. I feel your cautiousness is well warranted.
Love the 4R - great combo the white with the black.
long time North Carolinian here - moving back to the Chapel Hill area at the end of May. There will definitely be some official OB events in the mid-atlantic once I get back.

I think it's more than that, even without the classes. Lots of opportunities to check out rigs, not just product, see how others approach vehicle outfitting and getting ideas. A chance to talk directly with vendors about their products and what differentiates them in the market.
Yes - front and rear ratios must match. I agree with both sides of the points above - if live where there are hills, do a lot of highway driving or pull a trailer, then def make re-gearing a priority. If not, don't - you will get a little "pep" back, but since these things aren't drag racers...
Great vehicle and I look forward to following this one. I had an '03 Silver D2 (looked just like yours) and loved it. Unfortunately, it spent it's life in New Hampshire and while it was pristine inside and out, the under carriage was a typical NE rust out.
