    Sold $630,000.00

It's called a park trailer so it was probably intended to be put in a mobile home park and left there.

Relying on Paper Maps, Vehicle GPS, and Natural Instincts

This thread got me thinking about my GPS' so I opened Express my various units. The oldest one I have in Express is from 2014. I bought it a year or so ago from a thrift store and was able to plug it in and have it update. It took a while for the GPS to be seen by Express but it downloaded and...

    Which Paper Maps are Best???

For some reason they quit making these maps but Benchmark used to sell, for Arizona anyway, maps of the state divided into quadrants. Each map is double sided and goes into great detail. https://maps4u.com/products/arizona-northeast-road-map-benchmark-folded-maps-arizona?variant=18794827284576

Relying on Paper Maps, Vehicle GPS, and Natural Instincts

Do you have Garmin Express on you computer? It tells me when I have an update for my numerous GPS' and I just plug them into the computer. The computer verifies that the GPS is attached and installs the map or updated time zone or what have you. Nothing to it. Almost every Garmin these days...

    Emergency 2 way communication

I'm in the desert southwest and it's hard to be out of range of a repeater. I had change the settings for receiving beacons because I was getting them from across the state. Of course it's easier to be in range of a repeater when they are on top of 10,000 foot high mountains.

    Emergency 2 way communication

That's why I'm also an advocate of ham. At least around here, there are dozens and dozens of repeaters. I have all the repeaters in my state programmed into my radio. I also carry a hand held with the repeaters programmed into it. I am also able to use my mobile unit as a cross band repeater...

    Emergency 2 way communication

I think he's saying that if they could have talked to someone in person they could have had a helicopter send right away instead of waiting for the sheriff to come and then for him to decide that emergency transport was needed.

    Emergency 2 way communication

With InReach and APRS on ham radios you can send text messages to communicate with people when you're out of cell range. You can either let people know you're OK or if you need help but not bad enough to trigger a rescue you can let them know to send assistance.

    Cheap “Tips” and “Tricks

Cheap vodka is cheaper than top shelf vodka and the major difference is filtration. Buy a bottle of the cheapest vodka you can find and run it through a Brita filter five or six times and give it a taste.

    Introducing Beginner Q&A

Assuming you are looking to get your Technicians license, I'd look online for free practice tests. You can (or at least could when I studied for my test) find websites that have the pool of questions and will give you practice tests you can take until you are familiar with the knowledge. If I...

Test Kitchen rated a bunch of high end coolers

I have 2 fridges once is a Alpicool 16 Qt that I bought a year ago. It's great as a stand alone freezer or also for picnics and the such. Shortly after I got it I took it on a 3 day trip and was able to put all the perishable items for meals including a bottle of wine in it with no problem...

Test Kitchen rated a bunch of high end coolers

That's the trouble with ATK. They only test national brands so they don't often test store brands. I'm guessing their thinking is the average Test Kitchen viewer is going to go with a name brand cooler that they can find at an large outdoor store.

Test Kitchen rated a bunch of high end coolers

Yes, nobody who's into outdoor activities would ever buy or ask about a Yeti, so it must be sponsored content. ATK doesn't do or accept advertising, they are like the consumer reports of the cooking world.

    Orienteering by hand?

Check around. The local orienteering club has a few permanent courses. I've done the one at Greasewood park. https://www.tucsonorienteeringclub.org/index.php/permanent-courses

Overlanding Shoes (Is there such a thing :-) )

When I was in Namibia we stayed at a hotel on the Angolan border. There was a couple from South Africa there. I noticed that the man was wearing Crocs with leather uppers, like the Yukon. They work well in the desert Southwest as well. They have thick soles and will stop most thorns from...

If you go to their webpage, you can download a PDF from their In-Stock & Sale Items page. Right now they have 4 Thula Thulas in varying sizes and 4 different types of PHs. https://www.russellmoccasin.com/content/Sales%20list.pdf That's where I got mine from. I guess they were a return.
