I agree you can buy 7 for the cost of 1 set of MaxTrax, but you can't buy them when yours are broke and you're stuck.
I've learned sometimes, like on recovery gear, it's a good idea to just "buy once, cry once" - instead of 7 times.
NC might be a stretch. Unless you want to come see the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains and the legendary Outer Banks? Make it a trip with a Mod in the middle.
I can speak for the GoTreads & their Warranty, FANTASTIC!
Also, we have MaxTrax and they have recovered several vehicles and a UTV. Great product and have been mounted on top of our T4R for 3 years with no fading, no cracks.
Showing OOS but I did check Asheville Vehicle Outfitters & Apex...
The only problem here in NC is everyone is still going to places like Uwharrie and ridin. They're used to embracing the suck. Now, granted, maybe they all don't stay and camp. But, still makes for a crowded day.
THIS! I cannot sleep if my area is above 70F. We bought a Dewalt fan in 2019 and it's been a very big help. If you've got the new lithium tools, I highly suggest the $100 for the fan (tool only). Also as a good side note, Lowes honors online competition. We got ours for $70 thanks to an Amazon...
So this comes out EVERY time we go camping. I LOVE my sparkling water and am partial to the LaCroix brand. We usually have a case of them, along with Diet Dr. Pepper for wifey and a few Sprite Zeros for our daughter. As soon as I pull one from the fridge there's an immediate "OMG you drink those...
I got accused of "cheating" recently when I used my factory e-locker on a trail. Funny part is, the 10 vehicles before me couldn't make it and they had to take the bypass.
The guy filming was like "heck yea man you got it. There go. Just a little bit fur....wait, are you using a locker?" I...
Our last purchase was the Group 25 Dual battery system by Genesis Offroad.
We have been putting it off for awhile, due to the cost, but once our factory battery needed replacement, we pulled the trigger.
So far, very pleased with the performance. We've ran a few short trips and then tested it...
In the end of it all, the only factor is that your rig works for YOU - which seems to be the case.
I will check out that awning and look more into hardshell vs soft shell when I start the trailer build. A 360 shaded area for my 3yr old would be great. Our ARB 2500 provides some area of shade...
Very valid points made in your response. Thank you for sharing, and doing it respectfully.
That fire pit looks like a fun time. We always fill our pits in for that reason. I don't want to be the reason someone has the experience you did.
I LOVE the trailer setup and have been looking at making...
There is a sense of anxiousness and adrenaline at the same moment when beach driving. Each, forced, sway into the ruts of the vehicle that was before you creates a rush in the drivers seat, and a tensed breath for the passenger - at least in the case of my wife. Haha! Glad you made the venture...
