Can I get a roll call on who’s coming Friday, and who’s meeting up on Saturday?
@FirenzeForza4x4 I’m sorry you can’t make it. It was your idea to check out the BDT.
I guess it depends on what my plans are. If I'm going someplace to ride, like the Gold Lakes and Downieville area, absolutely. If I'm just wheeling about, probably not since I'm not spending enough time in 1 spot to ride.
I can see wanting to show a spot from a past trip, but actually going into your space that's already set-up? No way, unless escorted. And even then then probably no. To ride in, that's totally not cool. I probably would've stopped her when she started her ATV up again and ask they walk in since...
Not sure it's in the cards for me schedule wise but I would love to go back. A couple years ago I used your .gpx file for the Bodie and Copper Mountain route, but added Aurora to the trip. Super fun except when maybe the "night crawler" or "skin walker" or whatever it was came to visit that...
No. Come up to Santa Rosa. We can meet at the Costco lot since that's where I've pinged for the meet-up. @Vince Rothermund and I live in Santa Rosa, and we'll be heading north from there.
So here's what I'm thinking. I'll put the free .gpx file on the event page. For folks that can leave Friday, we will go up through Pillsbury towards Hull Mountain. We can go as far up FR1N02 that day before camping somewhere. I'm thinking maybe to Milsap's Cabin area. I can't leave till after 12...
I'm looking at the route, which btw I would recommend downloading the GPX file from the OTG website. Due to user agreement, I can't really share it here. I'm thinking where we could meet up with folks driving up Friday. Somewhere near Covelo? I think it would take less time for them to drive up...
I work till at least noon on Fridays, but leaving Friday might still work.
There is also going straight to Pillsbury from Potter Valley which will cut off some drive time. Follows the Eel River, so should still be a nice drive.
I'll update the rally point as an overnighter and doing as much of the BDT as we can. Wonder how much snow fell up there this week and if it will still be around at that time.
