Heading to the lake next weekend. needed some better lighting. So added LED light strips to the bottom of the Awning arms. I did RGB ones so I can play with colors, and have yellow if it is buggy
Thanks it’s a 2006 Super Air Nautique 226 Team Edition. Found it at the beginning of 2020. Only had 168hours on it. Stole it from a couple going through a nasty divorce. Just redid some ballast on it and added an automatic surf system
Been on here awhile lurking and watching builds. Getting ideas and so on. First off I don’t think this is a true overland only build. This is my daily driver, and it has to work for a living. Usually the bed is filled with 2500lbs of tools and towing a 16’ dump trailer. I’m a deck contractor...
All of my trucks have been diesels. From 12v cummins, a ford 7.3 idi, 05 CTD that I built way too much. it was big, fast and too modified to do what I needed it to do anymore. Now I am working on using my 16CTD for work and a bit of an adventure truck. Nothing beats the Cummins in my book. Do...
Installed the Prinsu roof rack on my 16’ 2500 Crew Cab Ram. Pretty nice unit. Good cost with the Black Friday sales. Only thing is the spacers they sent seem to be way too tall. I think I want to make some new ones and lower the whole thing about 3/4”.
I understand completely. I run a 16 crew cab long bed. Bumpers, suspension, power parts are a no issue. Gear is the issue. Took a bit to find how I wanted to build out my camp gear. All the drawers, slides, kitchens, racks, are made for 6.5 beds. Or if you do find stuff it’s at a huge premium...
Pulled the burned up 68RFE at 50000 miles to put in a new Suncoast 68RFe with deep pan and coolant valve bypass in. 8hours in my buddies shop to do it. So not too bad
Same. I run the Airlift wireless 5000 ultimate kit on my 2500 using the daystar cradles. Tow heavy during the week and play on the weekend. I like that they have the internal bumpstops.. Full Carli Suspension so didn’t wan bags that couldn’t flex being mounted to the frame and axle
Dodge Stealerships are notorious for overtightening the oil drain bolt. Hopefully its not the composite pan with the brass insert. Gently heat it up and try to loosen. I ended up drilling the one out of my Durango and doing a threaded insert kit with a fumoto drain plug
I’m starting to truck camp with my 16-crew cab long bed Cummins. I looked at the decked system, but it’s really only made for short bed trucks. It leaves a 18-20inch hole in the front of the bed you need to fill or put a crossover box in place. Doesn’t work very well in my opinion for a long...
Iceco 75d fridge installed. Just, I mean just fits under the tonneau cover. Had to modify the slide a bit. Nice it can plug straight into my extra plug in the bed. Kept ice cream frozen in 115 degrees. Should be perfect for camping this fall. Gonna keep it mounted for the summer for all my work...
gotta chance to use the setup this past weekend. Got away from the 95 degree heat herein Charleston and went up to the NC mountains. about 45 minutes north of Asheville. Working on my father-in-laws house, we decided to camp while we worked. since we don’t have all the kitchen stuff worked out...
23zero Walkabout 87 mounted and tested for opening and whatnot. Now the lake trips will be nice. Camp on shore, back anchor the Nautique. Great for our surf trips
