dispersed caming in SD Badlands, a bull wasn't too happy to find that we are on his path to his watering hole.
My buddy got really worried about it and told his kids to get off my RTT for fear of the bull toppling my Jeep. Kept my kids up there and let the bull pass thru.
I have one and I've seen some others post pics of theris. I can say that I really can't find any difference with this brand and any similar design brands.
The Good:
Cheaper in cost (not cheap) compared to other known brands
Included Annex - really nice annex, with bottom-lined cover too...
I had Dometic 50 on my amazon wish list then i came across a lightly used Whynter 45 slim fridge. Got the price down to $350 so i went for it. Looks like i need to hardwire it since the aux outlet at back of the jeep is weak sauce. So far it has been workibg great just hoping it won't bite me...
I used the same vid as well. It is not difficult at all as everything bolts on. An extra hand helps lifting the rack up for mounting. Single person, you can ratchet it up the ceiling and drive the Jeep from under.
I'm fine with deep scratches but don't care for the fine scratches/swirls. It just shows easily on black paint. Thankfully those buff out easily. I don't sweat the deeper ones since taking them out will thin out the clear. Once it's all waxed you can barely see the deep ones unless you really...
Plenty of places to explore on stock vehicles. Heck i've been some places only to see some compact car coming out of the trail. Do that for awhile and you learn what you really need for your rig.
There's lots of really nice rigs here but most are typically overbuilt for what we do here in the...
I primarily overland to camp. I spend quite a bit of effort scoping out camping sites I like, (dispersed/remote/views) and that typically leads to remote places. Hitting technical trails is a bonus but not at the top of the list since I typically go out single vehicle.
i know you said no kit, but short of some eyebolts and ratchet straps, you are not saving much from a simple kit like a Harken Hoist unless you really enjoy DIYing.
Honestly, if I was the type of person that was irresponsible enough to how you described your experience, i am probably the type of person who'd be offended for calling me out on it.
Personally though, I know that not a lot of people is comfortable around guns. So I personally keep it out of...
Look up the Trans-Wisconsin Adventure Trail. Started by adventure riders but can easily done by 4x4s as they are mostly gravel routes from what i can tell.
Upper Peninsula Michigan has miles and miles of trails. Muds, washouts, sand and great view of Lake Superior!
Totally agree, hence i convinced my wife we are swapping out that RTIC 45 with a Fridge and gain usable space in prep for our next long trip. Just waiting for some good deals hopefully.
On a week trip, my RTIC gets 3 blocks of dry ice used to keep frozen things frozen, space becomes a...
My wife doesn't like the color so there's one negative. Mine has seen several trips some of them rugged. Cover has held up well thru all the bashing!

I just got back from the Philippines and saw a lot of nicely done Rangers, looks like very popular platform next to the Hilux. They do look real nice stock and a few tasteful mods make it look killer.
