Hey. Yea me and a friend are getting ready to check out a new location to see if it is any good. Once we figure it out I’ll be posting more info. Location is lake Fredrick they apparently have a few trails along with camping and fishing. It’s all public access and few dollar fee
Hey all. OB14267. I’m down in Lawton. As I’ve seen through this whole thread the topic seems to cover my issue. There are definitely not a lot of places to go out and adventure unless you go through private property. I have found a few small trails but nothing to really do a deep discussion on yet
Looking for a used but in good shape l52 4wd transmission preferably earlier models 81-90.
If you have one let me know your price. Also wanting to sell or trade my l43 4 speed.
Last purchase was my winch and a new front driveshaft. I’ll be backing off any new purchases for a while. Gotta make a new plan for my next couple of upgrades
I think this would be a great idea. there are a lot of people out there (the wife for one) that do not like stickers on cars and I feel a window cling would be great as it is removable with no sticky mess
Welcome. You definitely can to the right place. That’s a great rig to start building into an overland rig lots of room for storage and plenty of options to add. Look forward to chatting with you and hopefully seeing a build progression of your ride
I have seen and know plenty of people that overland in two wheel drive rigs. It really depends on what kind of overlanding you want to do. I would say start with what you have and save up some money for one of those fun ideas so that later you can build a sweet rig. Good luck out there and...
So I finally got all the grease and dirt off the driveshaft and found that my issue was not a bad u joint making all that racket. The slip yoke is cracked so I have a two wheel drive truck until I can fork out the money for a new one
Going down to the auto skills center to use their press and parts washer. Rebuilding the front driveshaft with some heavy duty u joints and a new ball seat for the double cardan joint
