Ryan, welcome to OB! This is a great community of like minded folks! We've done some trips out to Assateague Island before. Hopefully we'll get another one together once this dust settles. Your 4Runner looks great!
Picked up a full Goose Gear plate system with side cubbies from Backwoods Overland. I was running two ARB drawers and my fridge and slide on top of one of the drawers. This system worked out great but I really wanted to save some weight and then position my heavy gear towards the middle of the...
I was up at Backroads yesterday and got my full Goose Gear system installed, Vector JKU rear shelf, and had them wire up some USB ports, voltmeter, etc. Great work, and very good attention to detail! Nick and Chris were both there and couldn't have been easier to work with. I'd give them a ring!
You may also want to reach out to Backwoods Overland in Maryland. They are now an Ursa Minor dealer. I'm picking up my full Goose Gear interior from them this Saturday. Great guys!
Vector Offroad Aluminum Highland Platform to go with the new Goose Gear full build out going in next weekend. Looking forward to dropping some weight on the build, and relocating the weight I do carry is more centered in the vehicle and down low with the Goose Gear system.
It works, but just not ideally. The ARB room fits width wise, but it's technically too deep for the Smittybilt awning since their awning is only 6.5ft deep. You can still clip the ARB room into place but it's not a really good fit as it's "loose" on the sides.
I still have my Element that I purchased brand new in 2002. I will honestly say that the Element is the most useful vehicle that I have ever owned, and quite possibly one of the most practical ever produced. They are great adventure rigs!! I remember looking at the Ursa Minor's when they...
Ordered up a full Goose Gear sleep platform/plate system, complete with side cubbies, and the Retrofit Offroad sliding replacement hardtop windows! Looking forward to storing gear low, in the center of the vehicle with the Goose Gear system, and for being able to do a sleep platform inside.
That's basically true with Jeeps as well. I think very few of really "need" 37's(38's in my case), but damn, they look good! My Jeep definitely drove and handled better with 35's.
I'm actually a Garmin retailer, and buy direct from them for our stores. Garmin is CONSTANTLY running promotions through authorized retailers. They do it so frequently that's it actually hard to keep up with all of them(as a retailer). Retailers are not allowed to advertise Garmin product...
Just switched from 35" Nitto Trail and Ridge Grapplers(ran both) to the 38" Milestar Patagonias. Night and day difference in ROAD feel(my Jeep is a daily driver), much better at not picking up rocks and gravel on Forest roads, and even better in mud. Haven't had much of a chance to use them in...
Like @diabetiktaco said, very few companies give away patches for free. However, stickers you'll get from a lot of vendors when you place your parts orders, and at events. Even at events most companies are going to charge for a patch, unless you may buy something substantial from them...
