    Hiker Trailer 5x9 Offroad Build

FYI: as I mentioned though, It did require a bit of trimming to fit well w/the screen doors. I've heard an electric knife works best for trimming but didn't have access to one at the time. I used a sharp razor knife which was sort of choppy but you can't tell once the cover is back on. Also...

    Hiker Trailer 5x9 Offroad Build

It's pretty comfy for camping. If we were full time I might want a firmer/thicker one though.

The brand was Lucid from Amazon and it measured 60" wide: LUCID 4 Inch Folding Mattress and Sofa with Removable Indoor / Outdoor Fabric Cover - Queen Size

    Hiker Trailer 5x9 Offroad Build

I've been using the same Thule T2 rack that I bought back in 2004. The ratchet grips on both arms have been replaced under warranty 2 & 3 years ago. That thing has been shuttling forest rds for years and is still holding up great. Not really worried about the rack failing. Even less worried...

We actually went 2' deep on the rear galley. The top shelf is only 13" deep because we had it split across the width of the trailer so there's an 11" deep cabinet on the inside.which is separate from the galley. The sleeper floor is 80" long with this configuration. You would fit fine! We could...

    August 2017 Solar Eclipse trip

I'll be staying at home. We're dead center of the path and from what it sounds like, everyone knows this and is coming here. Hotel rooms were selling for over 1k a night. I think everywhere is booked now. That also means every forest road anywhere near here is going to be packed as well. My...

Adding Aux Fuel Tank - What should I do?

Bummer but that aux tank looks cool. Looks like it would fit well in place of the spare.

Probably still go through the wall. Without the pump on, there will be no water in those hoses other than the time it takes to fill the tank. Oh, and if I do go under the frame with the pump, I'll probably make a shield for the pump with some sheet metal or something.

Thanks, we've really enjoyed having it. I've thought about starting a thread for the XK but it doesn't seem all that modified compared to some of the others I've seen out there. Still, I probably should have taken more photos to document everything I've done to it so far. But since you asked...

    Hiker Trailer 5x9 Offroad Build

Originally, I had planned to mount the pump in that dead space but Rob recommended placing it under the frame near the tank. He suggested this location over the interior so if the pump ever leaked it wouldn't get the floor and your mattress wet. Also , I don't have the diamond plate on the...

    Jeep Owners Represent!

O yeah, I recognize all of those rigs from the Jeep Commander Nation FB Group! One day my little guy might grow up to be one of these haha. But really, mine's taken me everywhere I've tried to go.

Like I was just saying, hopefully WAM and 4xG are still making bumpers and skids by the time I can afford them haha. We have a '14 KL TH too and it is actually really friggin awesome to drive. Can't wait for the stock shocks to go so I can justify lifting it.

Suspension is actually covered pretty well for this truck between Bilstein, ARB, Superlift, etc. It's the fabrication that's lacking. At times there have been zero companies making bumpers for it. At the moment there is one. Same goes for skids, rock rails, etc. I'm hoping that the few companies...

The extra room is not as much as you might think, the QD2 and Hemi are what sold me. But you'd probably be really disappointed in the aftermarket support on these especially coming from an XJ.
