Tjs don't have hubs. It's been proven time after time that free wheeling hubs don't do much, maybe 0.2 MPG. I've never seen close to that in a TJ. My 98 2.5 had 33/9.50s ATs and could see 21 in perfect conditions on the highway. No my 99 got way better after I built the stroker motor, but best...

Quitting?

Work has been kicking my butt this week, so not much progress. I did find and order a paint matching under headlight panel to replace the missing one on the Disco, from ebay.

You've got that right, I'm pretty sure my old xj had more usable space.

My only concern was making sure it thought of legally wise. I feel like safety is in our own hands. I just know in some places, cops can get real nittpicky. It's County by county here.

Is there an issue with your license plate being covered in your state? I only ask because here in Washington they get really picky about that. They will pull you over for a small trailer ball being in the way.

Too busy to post yesterday. Got the hood center painted with Rust-Oleum spray truck bed coating. Very happy with how it worked out.

I'm originally from Leavenworth, my Father and Brother are both still in the area. I've been trying to get them to join up. Do you mind if I give them the meet up details in case they wanted to check the group out? They were Overlanding way before it was a thing.

I think the D2 could be a magnificent mechine. But I am liking the simplicity of my D1. It's very similar to my TJ, and actually the Disco is probably easier to work on.

Switched to the Disco. Removed all of the plastic stuff on the bumper, straightened it and painted it satin black for now. Sanded the hood and got a few coats of clear on the outer part. Should be ready for anti-glare black in the center tomorrow.

Finished up the fairlead mount. Painted the entire assembly with Rust-Oleum Truck bed coating, really liking that stuff.

Where are you located?

Got the wife's winch mounted, just need to come up with a solution for mounting the fairlead.
