Welded to the frame with frame plates and gussets No sorry I didn't. It's one of those things that if you had to replace it and you know that you're going to go to an aftermarket part down the road anyway way not just do it now and save yourself doing it twice. The nice thing was is the...

Anyone using tire balancing media? (beads)

I run beads with my Methods and Red Letters (beadlocks and 37's) I currently I have 11.2 ounces of beads in them but could probably still use some more as I get a shake in the wheel on and off. The next set of tires will get 16 ounces as they make bags that size, and with beads having more...

    Darthyota's Raptor Build

Thanks, that's the nice thing about the marine chart plotter GPS setups is that it has a super slick anti-glare coating and its polarized sunglass friendly. I would eventually also like to have a 13" iPad Pro on a Ram mount with Lead Nav to call out course changes. Progress! One side bent up...

Megacab Ram very slow build thread

i wouldn't use that tree saver strap as a tow strap as it won't have any give like a dynamic strap will (i.e. bubba rope) and will cause undue shock loads to recovery points.

Help purchasing my first CO overland vehicle

I would look at first gen tundras, like the 1st gen Sequoia mentioned above they are less sought after then 4runners or tacomas can be had fully loaded and are the sameish size as 2nd gen tacomas and 4th/5th gen 4runners but get you the v8 which gets about the same gas milage as the 4L v6. My...

    Darthyota's Raptor Build

So I originally got my Raptor to replace my X-Runner after the motor failed at 95000km. I chose the Raptor because of its looks and its offload capability out of the box, my needs had also changed as I needed a 4wd truck for work as opposed to a lowered 2wd sport truck. Check out my 4Runner...
