Moved the discovery post to this thread...
Matt, your cache has been discovered as of this morning, 13 Nov 2019. Not sure what to do with it (did not open the tin, left it sealed) so I put it in a plastic bowl with a pencil, notebook, OB decal and placed it back in its original location.
The Autoline Pro smoke machine, ordered via Amazon, was simple to use and worked well to find the evap leak triggering the CEL P0455 after R&Ring the Leak Detection Pump & LDP filter (frikkin’ mouse chewed on the LDP rubber hose).
Just when I thought my TJ”s CEL evap codes were solved with a new leak detection pump & filter, the CEL P0455 Evap Large Leak code returned after a couple of days, dangnabbit! Fired up the recently arrived Autoline Pro smoke machine and quickly discovered an evap line disconnected. The line was...
Fixed an evap leak on my TJ, a CEL code P0442 (small leak) developing into a P0455 (large leak). After pulling the Leak Detection Pump & Canister from the right rear wheel well, discovered a mouse decided to take illegal residence and chew on the LDP’s rubber hose (and the third brake light...
I purchased my T3 from the OB store a tad over a year ago. Smooth transaction and supports this site. I preferred the T4 but it would not fit inside my TJ. The T3 fits perfectly across the rear wheel wells and it’s an improvement over the cot tent in terms of comfort with the ability to...
The mirror (Amazon) came with everything needed to install in any vehicle. You’ll need to source your own wire for the reverse undim (back-up lamp feed) option (only req’d during darkness to be able to see while backing up, if using the mirror). The “kit” didn’t come with instructions. The...
Mirror is attached with the wires loomed & tucked behind the trim:
Making a bracket to secure the temp sensor just behind the front grill and this project will be complete.
Installed a Gentex GENK20A auto-dim mirror with compass and temperature display. My ’04 came with the oem harnesses for the temp sensor and for the mirror. Installed a Mopar temp sensor into the oem socket located just behind the grill. After scouring the interwebs for an oe mirror wire jumper...
Installed a temp sensor and wired a Gentex GENK20A auto-dimming mirror with compass & temp display into my TJ Rubicon’s oem harnesses. It works!
I’ll loom & tuck away the mirror’s wire harness tomorrow to complete the install.
I would say try the Black Rifle Coffee Company brand instant coffee sticks but I tried to place an order recently to replenish after last trip and still sold out, so...please wait until my order has been fulfilled...nyuck, nyuck, nyuck. All you need is a coffee drinking vessel, hot water, and...
Excellent call. The first thing I installed on my Tacoma was a set of RCI rock sliders in preparation for an upcoming Moab trip (Jeep was down due to shoddy work by a local shop, eventually repaired by myself but not in time for the trip). We didn’t do any red trails but returning on the...
I like them, they replaced OEM sized Walmart brand Goodyear Duratrax (sp?). Those brand Duratrax were downright dangerous in the rain. Heck, if the person in the vehicle preceding me sneezed on a normal clear & dry NM day, the Jeep was going sideways! The Cooper ATPs are a size bigger...
Those are the 2 gallon G2 tanks. I’d like to carry at least 6 gallons from past week-long off-roading/camping experience. After testing the tailgate setup with full tanks, I might get a couple of smaller tanks to double mount. This is the response to removing the ~90 lbs of swing-out tire...
Modified an EVO Manufacturing License Plate Relocate/Rotopax Can Mount (EVO-1163B) designed for the JK to fit my TJ Rubicon spare tire/rim. Flapwheeled & painted the edges to fit inside the smaller diameter TJ Rubi center hub. Also drilled a hole (1” hole saw bit) in the Rotopax mounting plate...
In my opinion, yes. I think the base model would drive/feel the same but went with the reservoir in order to keep up with my brother in his JKUR (he has the same installed on his) on the washboard dirtballs (weeped the front driver Teraflex shock during the trip to Canyonlands in October) might...
