Sounds awesome! We will be passing through Yellowstone and Grand Tetons this weekend. I hope camping with the kids goes well! What tent are you looking at?
You sound busy with projects. I’m back and fourth in black or bronze wheels for my Ranger. I am happy with the leaf kit, had a little trouble on the install but it was our fault and not the instructions. They also fixed them as you stated. I also feel the same way about the truck being mine...
Awesome to hear! Looking at getting a set soon probably a little after the GFC goes on (less than 2 weeks) so I don’t have an sag in the rear. I like the height the front is at with the coilovers and don’t want any of the Carolina Lean haha
How do you like your add a leaf set? Looking to pick up the same set for my Ranger, how much did it actually raise the rear end? Instructions easy to follow?
That’s good to know. I haven’t used it in sport mode much. My commute to work is limited to 30 mph and like 3 miles to drive haha. What kind of difference do you feel?
Finally! Got the email my GFC is complete! So I’ll be picking it up in Fedurary and I’m stoked! Hopefully the snow isn’t too deep this time of year around Yellowstone, might spend a night or two out there. Can’t wait to share it with y’all!
Personally I live in a dry climate so rust isn’t too much of a concern on its own. However using water with it is not recommended and I think the book even says it. Too many holes and spots for water to stick and cause rust with such thin metal. I haven’t had much time with it but I try and keep...
Got one of those for Christmas this year. Neat thing, just take good care of the metal. Read stories about it rusting through fairly quickly if not taken care of.
I’ll remove the crash bars or maybe try the Fab tech angled crash bars. I’m more worried about rubbing on the UCA with a 12 inch wide tire. I’m not too well versed in offset/backspacing so I do not know how well it’ll fit. I don’t want to use spacers.
Great to hear! I reached out to CBI and they don’t have anything in the works sadly. Relentless Fab has made a front bumper (only 1 I know of) and a couple rear tire swing out rear bumpers. Trying to get them to make another rear for my Ranger. The Icons have 25mm and Traverse HDs are similar...
Wow I didn’t know that about the RPG. Good to know, that was the bumper I was planning on getting. Try calling Stage 3 Motorsports and ask for Shawn. He was able to get me the Stage 2 for a good price and said he could do the same for the RPG. Doesn’t hurt to get a second price option if it’s...
I am game for another meet up/trip. I hope to be able to make it when it’s planned but I do have a busy end of year possibly early 2020. Eye surgery, picking up my GFC in Montana, holidays and such. Once I get the camper I want to head out more and spend some nights outside. But I look forward...
Look into RPGs pre runner bumper. Baja style but cheaper than ADD and still winch capable. I like the look after the add a leaf! What size tire and how much do you have the stage 2 set to? I installed my stage 2 a couple weekend back and waiting to get new tires/wheels to final adjust them.
We didn't have much time with a lift so we had to guess for the most part. But I will be able to adjust more when I re torque after 100 miles. It will be put to somewhat of a test this weekend.
Finally happened! Installed the Icon Suspension this past weekend and I really enjoy the way its changed the look of the truck. And I am excited to get out and use the thing and test it out. To my eye the Ranger looks like its too high in the front so I will have to mess around with the...
So which ever size, 265/285 I’ll go with the S rating E load range. I want a thicker side wall just for peace of mind off road. Now any advice/opinions on 265 vs 285 in terms of ride quality and how much the extra inch will matter on the 285?
