This is a brand new, never used folding stainless steel grill and firepit. This thing is solid and high quality. Turns out its too large for my application so somebody gets a great deal.

So, I use a Supapeg Rear Wing Awning on my teardrop trailer. This awning is extremely high quality. That also means they get a pretty penny for it. It is only available in Australia but they will ship to the United States. It took me hours of looking to find this thing years ago. Its been...
Great articles. I also read your modifications article.
I personally can't stop doing mods to my Oregon Trail'r Terradrop. I've been modding this thing for 3 years but it always seems like there's something that can be improved/added/tweaked. I've used some of the same hardware as you...
I went with Leer myself. Just liked the look better. BTW, Century is built in the same factory as Leer and aside from some minor hardware differences they are the same shell. Century is just less expensive.
There is no arguing that the ARE toppers have some beefy hinges. But, from personal...
Clark,
If you are looking for simplicity might I suggest the Oregon Trail'r DoDrop Alpha. It is bone simple, extremely rugged and easy to modify.

I utilize a Redarc BCDC 1220 in my trailer to maintain the battery. Although the 7 pin RV connector provides a 12 volt supply for charging a trailer's battery this is not an optimal solution. Using this charge line plus a DC to DC charger in a trailer is the best way to maintain the battery in...
I used a 300 amp marine bus fuse off of the terminal block on my battery for my winch. I also built out my accessory wiring based on this fuse/relay box. Made for a very clean install that is fully protected. I'm running a winch, auxilary lights, fridge and usb charging ports. They probably...
The Ridge Grapplers come in 2 variants. The E rated tire is quite heavy. The standard duty is on par with other similar tires when it comes to weight. I just put the standard duty Ridge Grapplers on the truck last month and I'm happy with both their on and off road performance.

For a truly robust vehicle/solar charging setup you need a DC to DC charger. These types of chargers tend to be a little costly but a good one will perform as both your charging needs from your TV and from a Solar panel. A nice example is the Redarc BCDC-1225D.

The Oregon Trail'r boys are a couple of great guys. Straight shooters too. One is an expert in wood and mechanical, the other in metal and electrical. The combination makes for a great trailer. I have done many upgrades to my own trailer and I'm still impressed by the quality when I crack...
As promised, my new relay box (lights and my newly installed "power center" in my camper shell (12 volt + USB). I cut two of the relay spots out of the relay box to make room for a pair of bus lugs. I wanted to run my positive and ground to the box off "main lines" (top side of the first...
I've been taking my son camping since he was 3. It was actually easier to keep him entertained then it was in later years. Honestly, a stick, some dirt and his collection of matchbox cars was more than enough. As he got older it got more difficult. When he was about 8 I let him build a "fort"...
1. Indian Hollow (North Rim Grand Canyon) AZ
2. West Fork Black River (Apache Sitgreaves National Forest; currently closed) AZ
3. Alta Lakes dispersed CO (close to Telluride)
4. Any BLM land in AZ
5. Sheffield Campground, WY (Last on the list because I haven't camped there yet, its planned for...
So, I decided to upgrade my wiring a bit. I ordered some of the stuff listed above along with some other goodies I found. What a difference 3 years makes on this kinda stuff. Stay tuned. When I finish my new box I'll post here along with what I spent. If it all works out I'll have a...
I'm currently running Nitto Terra Grappler G2's and they are a great tire. However, I do want something a little more aggressive so I'm looking at the Ridge Grapplers. The Trail Grapplers are great but just a bit too aggressive for me. I haven't pulled the trigger on the Ridge Grapplers...
I tent camped for many, many years. My last tent camping adventure was 4 years ago. It was a miserable, rainy, windy, cold trip. The better half told me never again. So, I started looking for alternatives. When we vacation, we tend to stay away from people as much as possible. That means...
I made my own. It's all fused, has 2 relays for the 2 different sets of lights. I used some fairly generic switches in the cab that match well with my other dash controls. It wasn't hard, but it also wasn't "dirt cheap" either. Think I spent around $75 building the box.
There are some...
