Wait until you see my update Tuesday....:sunglasses:
The Warn is on and the dual batts are in...heh heh
Parts are not impossible to find. You may have to look hard, and some trim pieces are unobtanium.
Engine performance parts don't really exist. Common wisdom seems to suggest that the...
I'm game to do something. I'm hoping I can get the electrical system in and done this week with the warm temps. And not have anymore concerns like frying my starting cable...
Brand new for me. Seem like nice fellas, but this would be the first trip evahhhhh. Still having electrical problems, so that's a worry for me at this point. Hoping I can get them locked down.
You thinking of copiloting or joining with your own rig? Just saying...you seen how small the interior of a Rocky is? We might be snuggling the whole trip :tearsofjoy:
This is for driving, and I'm not sure all of my rig will be "done," so glad it's not technical stuff. Linky and you'll have to log into BookFace to see it:
OK: so this week, and for the rest of February, lots of things are getting done. First, we're getting some servicing done of the tranny, transfer case, and diffs. That's boring and none of you are interested in that, right? :grinning:
Once that's done, I believe we'll be tackling dual batteries...
Either that or the transfer case are whining badly at a speed about 45, and that worries me. At this point, it's a puzzle putting together when stuff can get done.
I am on Facebook. Name is David Becker.
I'm game to meet, but realistically, three weeks would be the earliest. I just added it to my thread, but I'm having dual batteries installed in the next two weeks. I don't want to actually wheel until the tranny gets serviced
The one above in the snow was near Kinzua Dam. I started poking around on the Forest Service roads that day, but I stopped where that picture was because the snowmobile trail overlaps for a bit there. It was the first day of real snow, and while the road had already been groomed, I didn't want...
A little bit of snow fun the other day. I chose to not go too much further, as the snowmobiles were out, and it's the first time they could do so all season. Coming around a curve and stuffing into a snowmobile going 50 would be a bad day for all. Plus...I learned I have no heat. MORE WORK TO DO
It's funny you say that; there's a guy over teh border in NY that used to have a small stable of Dodge Raiders around his shop. He still has one left, but I always like the compact style and boxiness of them. After my rig got totaled, I was thinking about them...but no convertible. Our summers...
I was hoping to find something that was simple and basic and could get by on the trails near me. I didn't want something large, but my two ideal vehicles, 40 or 70-series LCs were hard to find that weren't beaten to death and something I could afford. I mean, I could afford them, but not a...
Hello to all. I just found these forums looking for something...and I reallllllly found something. There seems to be good stuff here, and I'm going to need weeks to digest.
I have a 1990 Daihatsu Rocky. A small SUV of mine was totaled by a drunk driver, and I set out to find something unique...
