This is awesome and a huge thanks to Nat Geo. Now you don't have to go digging through archives to get this info or know people who work w/ Power Company Land Acquisition departments. (Growing up my uncle had tons of Topos for Mid to North GA from working for GA Power/Southern Company)
Personally both are excellent vehicles that have nearly bullet proof motors (of course if taken care of). I'm more of a fan of the LC over the Cherokee but I do have a place for Cherokee's

I'll stay where I'm at and the 4Runner will come in handy. Guess it helps I'm on an island 30miles off the mainland of MA. Plus with my 2yr old, wife, and two dogs it be bast to stay in a house setting. Not worried about electronics due to my 15yrs as a ASE tech ;)

Great video! that's why I love being up here on Nantucket, everyday I can choose to take a detour down some random dirt road/ trail and even then it's freeing compared to being stuck in bumper to bumper back in GA where I don't make the time to hit the trails. So far my 2yr old is loving it...
One of my detours to the store w/ my son, almost got stuck thanks to the hitch carrier I had on the back - also forgot my son's stroller was on there so it go covered in mud and sand lol. .
Plate steel bumpers/Armor if made well do their job. Glad you're ok but I have a feeling the truck could be totalled (depends on the cost of the repair). I know I plan on investing in some for my 3rd Gen T4R (Front & Rear) I was looking at Addicted Off-road's armor selection and their sliders...
If you have to sell off both vehicles I say go with a Tacoma, rock solid truck and great on and off road. I love my 3rd Gen 4Runner. But really your Ford SD is a beast of a truck too.

Looks like I get to have a dual region as I live in Atlanta for 8 months out of the year and Nantucket for 4 months.

Hoping to pick up my over and permits for this season, also plan to take a trek out to Great Point for part of a day and see if I can't find some seals to show off to the lil monster (my 2yr old son)
