The Daniel Boone backcountry byway has a facebook site and cartotracks offers a live GPS tracking map for just a few bucks. It is a project by the SFWDA (southern four wheel drive assoc) which deserves our support for keeping off pavement driving alive!
I know where it is at but my map is sketchy. Anyone done the whole run and want to be a guide? No particular timeline but would love to check it off my bucket list.
Stayed at a lodge called Moondance. Perfect for us. Btw i lost 4ed about 2 miles in as well as my winch. Got out thamks to Jeremy of Kentucky crawlers. Truck will be in shop till January. New hubs bigger tires. Check grounding on the winch and adding a read 12k pound winch. Gonna go...
Most of the DBBB can be done in any 4wd vehicle built for off road in stock form. Good all terrains or mud terrains are strongly recommended. I am going the next two days after Thanksgiving.
This is my 2015 superduty with front and rear bumper. Trail ready front bumper and yes they make it for 2017 and smittybilt rear bumper. also available for 2017 but not a winch bumper and I am needing that since I just bout a 12k winch for the back
