    Anyone explore Washington's Scablands?

I'm out there all the time. Also I think I might fit the category of 'geology nut'. Whenever we can we're out there.

    Eastern Washington, where you at?

I'm in Spokane but willing to make a drive to meet up or go do an overnighter if the trail isn't too crazy.

Been away from the forums for awhile, our new adventure rig

Hey man I'm just over in Spokane and I have a lot of experience in van building if you ever need a hand. Here are a few that I have built, both a 2016 Promaster and a 2019 Promaster, I did 100% of the work myself.

    Your one "must have"

Gotta have a ferro rod and the knowledge on how to start a fire with a spark in any condition.

    New to exploring PNW

Welcome Driving out here on the east side is pretty good in the winter, WADOT does a damn good job of keeping the HWYs and FWYs clear. If you have the standard winter weather driving gear you will be more then fine with your Jeep.

    New to exploring PNW

Did someone say geology! That's like blowing a dog whistle to me. Central and eastern Washington provides so many fantastic geological points of interest.

East Idaho, Upper Snake River Plain

Well do I plan on putting some stuff together. Like a fun drive, with at least a few interesting geological features to stop and see.

East Idaho, Upper Snake River Plain

I'm in Spokane but I spend time in central and northern Idaho in the summer looking for rocks...etc. I plan on getting some groups together in the spring.

    That's Not a Knife...This is a Knife.

I got lots and lots of knives but my go to is the actually one that I made, the second one I made to be exact. It's 1084 steel, heat treated, stainless pins, black and white dovetailed G10 handle, and a kydex sheath that I made.

Looking at nav-com handhelds. Need opinions/reviews.

I think the real question is will you really be needing the InReach feature? If yes then invest in it however I think for most people it's a little over kill, that just my opinion since you asked for it. I know it's a little off the subject but I have used a simple Garmin eTrex 20 for sometime...

Meet and greet in Wenatchee, WA. Sunday, Nov.17, 2019.

Well that's a bummer and escalated quickly. I'm not local to you but I was just talking with my wife and were going to be in the area for this.

    Rockhounding & Fire Lookouts

It's worth it. A big part of the job is also just showing off the fire lookout to those willing to make the trek in.
