V_man has some good intel regarding the cabins. Check out his spot near the cabins. Keep in mind, depending on number of vehicles, the cabin sites are not super flat for parking etc if that matters to you. Depending on how many vehicles you have could make the choices for you.
Last Spring I...
Ahhh I miss Utah. I think we need to go back @v_man.
In that photo it appears that you are;
a- Tightening my lug nuts
b- Polishing my center caps
c- Pushing my truck over into the abyss
d- Using your super human strength to pull the front of the Cruiser to Earth
e- All of the Above
For you...
You have a point - you can definitely injure someone if you don't know what your doing. Even with simple over the counter meds. All of my kits have laminated dosing charts for example.
I do carry a huge kit with lots of trauma supplies when I hit the trail with a large group and I feel...
I use several kits that I put together myself. I've standardized on one small kit for the Land Cruisers and my Go-Bag. It's really two kits, 1 small bag for Boo Boo stuff and a companion bag for trauma/ severe bleeding. Here is the Standard Boo Boo Kit from my Go Bag (inventory listed above). It...
Some Small Molle bags for my organizational reboot on the '00 Land Cruiser.
Next I'll get some wheels and tires for '17 Land Cruiser as well as some 4.88's for the 2000 LC.
I agree about building your own... make it what you need. Get together with a buddy and you can buy from the med supply houses cheap in bulk. Here is a list of "basic" items I keep in the Land Cruiser and duplicate in my Go Bag. I also have a massive kit that I bring when I lead trips but this...
Some organization...
This is the "shallow" drawer on the TrekBoxX Alpha System which recesses below the refrigerator slide. I used a few organizers from Bed Bath Beyond to give me the kitchen feel on the trail. The working Surface is Richlite R50.
Here's a general view of the TrekboxX...

Sure it's a poll but I do run into many misconceptions about amateur radio related to costs... I evangelize it being better, well be cause it is. But use what you like. In your case it's a variety.
I'm not picking on anyone when I say this, but it's more of a curiosity when CB is called out as cheap and easy... I think anyone who has used 2m HAM would say it's vastly superior to a CB radio in all measurable categories. In terms of price a 5 watt HH 2M ham can be had for <$30.
I guess...
What up @Jake Wettern | iamjake ?
Any way I have the following on any of the adventure trips we take:
Cell phones x2
2m HAM Mobile x2
2m HAM Handheld x2
Inmarsat SAT Phone 1x
ACR PLB x1
@Michael This is absolutely the way. As the "leader" (OB) it's great to see you taking the lead on this publicly and setting the bar. Bravo.
This trip specifically has a set of challenges (40 rigs and associated multiples of folks) in that the Mojave Road isn't generally supportive of that many...
Price I suppose is relative. This is my third system. I built one. I bought the ARB then the TrekBoxX. The TB makes no noise and has incredibly flexible design elements. When you add in all the features of my TB system and price compare the premium is not as big as you think.
Example: The ARB...
