    Alabama Hills before the winter

Ok, i've given it some thought and rough planned out my ideal trip, taking 2 days off work (Mon-Tues?): Friday night, drive up to the eastern Sierras and camp outside Bodie. Saturday morning walk around Bodie, then head south to Alabama Hills, Camp there Saturday night. Sunday, check out...

    Alabama Hills before the winter

Im in (depending on what days. I'll be racing 7-8, 14-15, so those weekends are out)! Id say 3 days minimum, ive done the similar trek to Laurel Lakes (roughly 100 miles shorter) in a weekend (Friday night to Sunday night) and it was too rushed in my opinion.

    Lake Tahoe Area

Maybe on the way down, but I would NOT recommend it. There are some sections where you may run out of clearance.

    Lake Tahoe Area

Blackwood Canyon is near Ellis Peak, id recomend that one also. Genoa Peak probably has the best views of the lake.

    Norcal camping suggestion

Usal Beach. It's a bit on the far side of your range, but can be easily traversed by a car (assuming a dry track) https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/lost-coast-trail-usal-beach-shelter-cove-glass-beach-ca.5508

    Suggestions on new Suspension

Id also recommend AEV, they recently came out with a lift for your model truck too. As a company they are known to do a lot of research and testing to keep the vehicles suspension geometry as close to stock as possible, meaning a comfortable ride and stable on and off road handling...

    Compressor Recommendation for under $100?

Don't do it. I got one as a gift several years back for airing up the tiny tires on my Miata race car, and the thing would overheat often when bringing the pressures from 25 to 35 psi. With the 31" tires on one of my Jeeps, it'll bring one tire from 20 to 45psi before having to stop and wait for...

Alabama Hills + Bishop during Summer? How is it?

How much snow was blocking the trail when you were there? Im thinking of making that trip this weekend, hoping that a few extra weeks of warm sunny weather has cleared the trail.

China Springs Road > Cotton Wood Canyon > Barney Riley

Rafting the river is pretty popular. When I was there last, dozens of rafts and kayaks came by and camped at the hot springs. You drop into the river at Markleeville CA and get out at Hwy 395, you can also pay someone $60 to move your car from the start to the end, I may do that at some point. I...

China Springs Road > Cotton Wood Canyon > Barney Riley

Ive done this route, and the route out to Hwy 89 several times in my Jeep Liberty (1" lift on 31" tires) and have seen Subarus at the hot springs in past years. The route out Leviathan Mine Road used to be an easy route, but the '16-'17 winter has really rutted up the tracks and exposed a lot of...
