    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

Well, this weekend took an... interesting turn. My alternator died, however Autozone lost my warranty info, so I ended up having to buy a new one. Ahh well. I was lucky I had my dual battery system to limp me home. New Steering gear is on it's way also. I think I pulled a tooth out of my current...

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

So, we are slowly getting her trail (and street) ready again. With the hot season fastly approaching, the dash got pulled to replace the A/C and Heater core. A new rear driveshaft makes things far less vibe-y. Meanwhile, I'm getting kind of stir crazy wanting to hit the dirt again.

Mojave Road trip - March 2017

It's actually curious. Most of the Locals spell it as Mojave, however it is on the maps as Mohave. If you go by what the natives say, Mojave is correct. It just confuses the hell outta USPS/FedEx/UPS/DHL when you put Fort Mojave, AZ  I believe it's on the map as Fort Mohave and Mohave...

Mojave Road trip - March 2017

Hello again, OB Friends! I thought I'd give a quick weather update. Here in the Mohave Valley it's been sitting around the mid 90's during the daytime, with lows in the low-to-mid 60's at night. It looks like it may drop back into the 80's next week, however I'd just remain vigilant, as the...

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

As I found out yesterday, One of the seals from the old Injectors was stuck in the fuel rail. Please check the inside of our fuel rail. That way you don't spray gas everywhere. And you also don't mangle the seal on the new injector. Also, Here's the set of injectors I bought, in case any of...

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

Well, I've spent the last two or so weeks diagnosing an injector circuit malfunction on Cylinder 4. I was finally able to get everything tested, and found the I actually had a bad injector, and that 2 others were on their way out too. Of course, simple replacement is not my style. Time for an...

I bought their hardware for the uppers, but used stock hardware for everything else. the "shackle" that links to the axle bushings is far too beefy for the stock hardware.

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

Hey, It's going well. I am Currently Running Core 4x4 Tier 1 Front Uppers, Lowers, and Rear Lowers. Stock A-Arm. It's a firmer ride, but they old out well, and take any punishment I send their way. Oh, and Core's warranty is top notch, too. If you manage to break 'em, they'll replace 'em. As far...

I too am going to need to cancel. There are other shenanigans afoot! The big and unavoidable kind.

Mojave Road trip - March 2017

The good news is today is supposed to be the last day of rain for a while. The first month or so of the year tends to be wet. It usually dries up pretty quickly afterwards. Generally, we follow that area pretty closely as far as weather. I'll keep an eye on it.

Mojave Road trip - March 2017

As the Mohave Valley OB Local, I hope it starts to dry out soon. we've had almost nonstop rain for the last week. Also, it's incredible to see how drastic parts of the trail can get. Even pre-tcase swap, I should have no problems. I did the "local" section of the Mojave road (From US Hwy 95...

That's an excellent write up. Still hoping I'll be able to make it.

Mojave Road trip - March 2017

Howdy! If you're still open, add me as a tentative maybe. It's in my neck of the woods, and the dates are right for me, it would just be a matter of getting the time off work, and also where I'm at with my Transfer case swap I have coming up. @fj80toyman

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

My lazy Saturday mod to the engine bay! An Easy mod that cost me nothing as I only used scraps from other projects, I soldiered in some wire after the ball switch and popped some LED strip onto the hood. they are disconnectable, too.

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

Friday I helped Represent the Bullhead 4 Wheelers in Bullhead City's Boom Box Parade. We had probably 5 vehicles out to represent B4W. It was also the last run for the dinky cigarette lighter inverter. The new one arrived late, so I was rather limited as to what I could do with lights.

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

Alright, ladies and gents, I have fixed the pictures on page 8. Turns out the new secure server doesn't like the imgur links I was providing. I have uploaded the pictures directly to the site instead, which looks better and works well.

The "inner duct?" it actually does not fit in the WJ inner fender. The outlet hole on the snorkel is 4". I used a 4" to 3" reduction elbow trimmed down to make it fit like a glove. Also, I appear to not be able to see my own pictures on page 8 either. from desktop or tablet.

    Big Tuna Presents: Pegasus Rising

Last weekend I had the opportunity to run Sleeping Princess with the Bullhead 4 Wheelers! No major problems, however the transfer case linkage is a wee bit loose, so I was continually popping out of 4lo. D'oh!
