    2013 White FJ Cruiser

So I went out this past weekend. Nothing to harsh or rough, just wanted to get a feel for the new suspension. I purposefully stayed aired up to highway pressure to ensure the tire were not adding to the "suspension" capability. Once I turned of pavement I was immediately on washbord for...

    Food & Water

I also bought a Foodsaver. I found that no matter what you did with ziplock bags they always leak! I have seen that Foodsaver also has a handheld ziplock bag sealer for their ziplock bags. I may pick one up to give it a try. I do know that Foodsaver does make a 12v DC sealer also.

    Independence Day 2016

    Tents

@mmnorthdirections that is my feeling also. Granted there are times I will set-up with more creature comforts. Generally, less is more is my phylosophy.

OZTent Foxwing. I love it. Once I put that on my vehicle, the RTT came off.

    Tents

Being from the Southwest, tents become something you have to put and take down. All kidding aside--I use a cot under the stars most of the time. I do have an awning w/walls on my truck if the weather requires. I am building a little base camp trailer that I will put my Camping Labs RTT on once...

I know the feeling when something breaks on the trail. Nice pictures. I need to get up north and do some exploring.

How well or detailed do you plan your trips? route/timeline/campspot

For the most part the route gets planned. I consider a few optional side trips into this planning also. As for schedule...you never know what you will find out there to see. More importantly, if you are going with a group, schedule can usually mean nothing anyways. i think I have only been on...
