    it will be a contrast to see it after the ash settles. The '49er fire was around my 16th birthday and going back to Penn Valley a few years ago it was awesome to see what had grow up in the burn areas

    We keep a go bag in the truck with food/water, small tent, micro cook set, First-aid and Coms. I was in a trail rollover years ago and now tend to keep a plan B in place. But aside from having to walk out, you're right it is nice to be able to take advantage of using the rig as a base camp...

    Welcome! With the Mark Twain National Forest in your backyard and the Ozark NF just down across the state lines, I bet you can find plenty of cool trails to hit. I'm sure someone from your area will have a great list.
