Another reason is that unless you have 38+ tires, the gladiator high centers on humps and the ass end drags on dips. I went to a Jeep Jamboree and was all excited to see a Gladiator wheel. It was a huge disappointment when we had to stop constaqntly to drag it off obstacles.
I think I paid about $100 for the hoist. You could mount it to your wall then run cable through a pulley on the ceiling and you would be good to go. I am sure a Harbor freight hoist would work just as well.
One more question. I see the rally point says 6am start time. Is that a starting time to caravan out there from a particular point or is that when everyone will be there getting ready to explore on day 1?
How is your rockpal holding up? I can not find much in the way of review3s on this brand, only goal zero and jackery. The rockpals are on sale right now. Also, do you find that the 300 is sufficient? I run my frig off the jeep battery, so would really only be using it for lighting, phones...
I love these trailers. Hoping to get one for retirement travel. Just wish they had an option for a swing out tire carrier on the rear to take some weight off the tongue.
Like road said, when I did the NMDRD, I had my RTT set up before the other couple had found a spot level enough and cleared all the debris from that spot. I would not go back to a ground tent.
we have had no power more than power on but keeps kicking off when the heat kicks on, we have a wood burning stove so staying warm but have frozen pipes so no water and have lost all our pool equitment due to power being off. Going to be expensive.
