Because I usually find myself starting at a lower and warmer elevation and ending up in some sort of frozen tundra by the end of the day, I don't mind wearing them in both. I wouldn't recommend them in the summer - but spring and fall they won't be too too hot.
Dogs add a whole other level of complexity - but if they're into it - it's well worth it. We had to stop taking our big guy out with us a couple of years ago - as he was just too old and wasn't enjoying the ride anymore. But I took our new puppy out for a quick off-roading adventure this weekend...
But if you air down too much you can roll it, blow your bead and then things get weird.
Again, I'm not against it - I've just never had to do it. It's a preference, not a necessity.

Hahaha, okay - how do you know?
Sidenote: I used to have it mounted horizontal on my roof and it did exceedingly well once tuned. I swapped out racks and that's no longer an option.
JetBoil came out with a can cracker a few years back so you could recycle small cans from them, Primus, MSR, Snowpeak, etc.
But I think the issue with the bigger 1 pounders is that they have thicker walls and it would be a nightmare to try and use a can cracker on them (if even possible).
So in...
2005 T4R SR5. Originally bought it for a quick solution and it here we are 2 1/2 years later in the middle of a wonderful love affair.
Latest updates have been in the Rhino set up on the roof - and I'm trying to find a way to mount my CB antenna off the rear bumper or in the region - so far it's...
