Assuming the truck is in good condition should a high mileage raptor scare me off there’s a few in the 75-90k mileage. What are normal failures on these trucks?
I bought my 2010 with 105,000 on it, and i knew the previous owner used it for what it was built for. It didnt scare me one bit, and...
raptors are a ton of fun and way more capable in the desert than the rebel. There’s a HUGE aftermarket for them as well if you find yourself getting bit by the mod bug. They’ve been holding their value very well because the new ones don’t have a V8, which a lot of people want in an off road...
I’m late on this, but here my worst weekend out in Moon Rocks, NV. I Hit a washout at night and snapped both front spindles. We Had to ratchet strap the spindle on both sides to keep it from moving too much and limp 2.5hrs back to camp. I was lucky a friend had a trailer to load it on and tow...
thanks! Coming from the backflip brand i personally found it to be a much nicer cover.I’m really impressed with the quality of it (minus this defect.) Right after I installed it, some heavy rain came and dumped water all over. I checked the inside and it was totally dry. The line-x coating seems...
Finally got around to installing my new Armorflex. Unfortunately it was damaged at the manufacturer, BUT fortunately I sent them pictures and they are sending me a brand new one to install and was told to just destroy the current one
As stated above, getting your credit card company involved will get their attention quickly. Or you’ll get your money back and you can buy what you need elsewhere.
I always try and use my CC when buying stuff because I’ve found that’s my best recourse if something were to go bad during the...
This showed up today to replace my old/falling apart bakflip G2..
Decided to buy the armor flex cover with the line-x’d coating on it to increase durability and keep the scratches down to a minimum
will update with install pics tomorrow
I’m consistently about 10mpg combined with my raptor on the road with no gear. With a 26gal tank I get a little wary while being on trails for a long time. Especially slow moving Stuff mixed in with fast paced off roading. I carry extra fuel cans to keep my mind at peace even if I won’t be out...
Today I started “all things overlanding.” They’re only 20 minutes long (good for My commute) and pretty good. He starts out by talking about gear and being mindful of what you’re packing, discusses sleeping options, and touches on solar options (haven’t gotten to that one yet.)
Probably hopes he’s never going to need that spare.
super heavy wheel/tire combo placed so high up is gonna be interesting to see how hard it would be to get up/down.
nice shocks! I’m sure you know/already do... but make sure you keep up on the maintenance/cleaning. My set was already starting to rust when I bought the truck and it cost me A LOT to get them rebuilt and cerakoted when it came time to service them
Any pics of the upgraded UCAs installed?
