???? Even back in WWII the jerry cans were marked, and made different. Gas cans had 3 handles, water had one. Still true to this day with Sceptor, Wavian, and any other Gov't supplier. The coatings inside are also different. So with that said, I would just spray some Simple Green and water in...
Was thinking of doing the similar trip so a couple can finish the WABDR. Plan would be starting Fri. 9-2 at 08:00 in Cashmere and follow the WABDR till NightHawk. Then backtrack like we did to Winthrop, camp there Sun night. Monday morning we'll hit Slate Peak/ Hart's pass, the highest road you...
Had a fabulous time with @OTH Overland, @a12houk, @Blackwaterdiver, Mary Ann and Michelle. Great weather, great trails, great people. Best of all great scenery.
Just completed a partial WABDR run from Stevenson to Ardenvoir 6/30-7/4 2022 with a great group of fellow OB members. The roads in general were pretty dusty, so maybe bring an extra air filter or have the ability to blow it out.. There were some pretty substantial snow patches that swallowed a...
Thank you for all that attended, I know I did not meet all the people that were attendees or contributors on this RP and I hope everyone has as great a time as I did. Looking forward to next year and maybe getting our own OB section, if that is possible. Hopefully meet you on the trails in the...
Well anyway, I don't seem to get notifications to this RP anymore. Was anyone planning on meeting me at Fred Meyer's at 1:00 Thursday? I don't know how many spaces can be saved, sounds like a few, with @OTH Overland arriving at opening. We can figure that out tomorrow if that is feasible. I'm...
There has been interest in a convoy for the West side members on Thursday, June 16 in the afternoon to the NWOR, as it would be easier to group camp together. Just putting this out there, to meet at Fred Meyer's Monroe just east of 522 and US 2 interchange just south of the Fred Meyer's fuel...
In the beginning it was for information. Just to see what the interest would be. So far there 10 attendees not counting you. Of the 10, 4 counting you and I live from Seattle north on the west side. I was also waiting for input from the other members to get an idea when people would be...
Sounds like a great idea, you should make a dedicated Rally Point for it. A group of us planned on doing that a couple years ago, then Covid hit and the NWOR was cancelled. So, we planned to do the entire WABDR, turned out fantastic for those that finished. The first couple days were very...
Tickets just went on sale for the NW Overland Rally June 16-19, Thurs -Sun 2022 in Plain Washington. There has been interest in a convoy for the West side members on Thursday, June 16 in the afternoon to the NWOR, as it would be easier to group camp together. For those interested, please...
Looks like tickets just went on sale for the 2022 Northwest Overland Rally. NWOR in Plain Washington Jun 16-19. Home I figured I would post this here as this was the reason for this trip in the first place.
I'm jealous of those that will be able to attend this trip with Paul. I know it sounds like a lot of rules and such, but they are necessary for the survival of the group. I had an absolute blast completing the WABDR in 2020 with Paul.
