We've done the Magruder a few times. We love it there. One year we were the first ones through/ About ran out of chainsaw gas due to down trees and there was still snow in the Horse Saddle area.

Our last trailer I built we took through the Rubicon trail then to Moab. My goal is to sell custom trailers that will go anywhere your rig can go.

Yes the local 4x4 club we belong to maintains that trail system. I've actually towed our overland trailer up through there for testing it.

Homeward For Heroes is doing a military/vet 1st responders run in July of this year. The trek will be in Montana & Wyoming.

Mostly google for an area, then drive to see what's around there. Even ask on forums for places that you are going to.

We still camp in it. Till it get below -10 anyways. lol.

Well it's actually has been pretty mild this winter. To get below zero is normal for this time of year.
