When I was a construction Forman the saying use to be “if you got time to bitch, you must not have enough to do”
Well maybe that was just my saying but anyhooo...
So for the past 7 years my dedicated off-road vehicle had been a 2000 4runner with 220k pretty hard miles on it. Not my daily driver. Whenever possible I sleep on a cot in a gortex bag with no tent weather & bugs permitting. I also slept in the back of the 4Runner if there was snow or rain, and...
I owned 2 saws by the time I was 15 and started logging summers at 16.
I’ve also cleared storm damage for utilities here in Washington and the Oregon coast , along with structural ventilation & wildland for FD.
As a teen the safety training was watch what we do, and don’t be a dumbass...
I have had a couple 4Runners and a couple Tacoma TRDs with an Fj in the mix. Currently we have a Taco & 4Runner. Couple questions.
Daily driver or dedicated off road ?
How many passengers are you traveling with?
Sleeping arrangements?
Trailer?
My needs could be different than yours but we...
   I just hit my wife up as a joke and she is thinking we should buy it. It’s a 2007 loaded leather power everything with 100K grandma miles on it.
Oh man, my mother in law is getting ready to sell hers that has been absolutely babied.
This thread makes me want to buy it just to build up, cut up, and pinstripe
Welcome from Washington! Also having a 4Runner (technically my wife’s) I’m always interested in 4Runner & Tacoma build threads and would love to see what you end up with. Again welcome to OB!
So in all seriousness that is a thing right? I’ve searched and unless I’m looking in the wrong place it’s slim pickings right? Anything that’s still kinda unknown or not popular stays that way. Like good fishing holes or hunting spots. I’ll admit I get why being that many of the spots I fish &...
Wait what?   You just went from I’ll never go to that pet peeve thread, to quoting and agreeing with peoples complaints. Poke poke you gotta admit that is funny?
An as I’ve said before I’ll be the first to take some ribbing. As much as I dish it out I’ll always...

Welcome to OB, I’m also in the Gorge 40 miles west of you. Lots of places around Klickitat & Skamania counties to explore. Hopefully we can meetup sometime.
Thanks, I actually came across it a month ago on the Overland Bound Facebook page and there didn't seem to be much interest? The FB page is kinda dead? Being Im not really into to facebook I never went back to see if it had gained any steam but since I am going tomorrow thought I would put it...
Is any one going this weekend?
It would be cool to meet some members.
I was going to post a meet up in the Rally section but with kids sports couldn’t commit to a time. I’ll be around sometime Saturday so if anyone is going and wants to meet up let me know.

Welcome from WA, I happen to be one that likes the sand taco but went with the cement in the same model as you. I’m also pretty new to the group so take what I say with a grain of salt. Everyone will have a different opinion on what overlanding is and isn’t. What you drive doesn’t matter as much...
