Were you out there recently? It has only been a couple of months since we were there. There are other roads at Talladega we haven't been to yet. There seems to be a lot of trails that are full of fun stuff!
I drive 2 miles one way to work, so they are holding doing well. When we do get on the highway, they do make noise. If you listen to music you it won't bother you. I got them from walmart.com when they were on roleback. Not sure what the price is now.
When you guys were out at 600-2, was Adams Gap Rd still closed? Just trying to figure out our exit route. We will have our 4 yr old and 4mo old with us.
We run 40psi as well. One of the reasons we would have gotten the DT's was that they were quiet, but you can't pass up a good deal (less than $800) on 4 tires.
We had DuraTracs on our truck (F150 FX4) and did not think they were loud at all. Our current tires are Firestone Destination. These have more road noise, but it is tolerable. If we didnt find the Firestone's at a great price we would have gone with the DuraTracs.
We are going to be going back and checking out 600-2 later this week. We are looking forward to it. Early this week we are going to Gulf Shores for a day at the beach. We are looking forward to a couple days in the great outdoors!
I have a feeling if the Raptor does come to the U.S. it will have at minimum the 2.7l EB. Dont forget the 3.5l EB does come in the Explorer, I can't imagine the Ranger engine bay is any smaller. I would like to see the FX4 Level II make its way back with a more rock/trail hillside/mountain side...
I wish Ford would reveal the Bronco already! Both the Ranger and the Bronco are going to be a big hit. I like the competition that is bringing more to the table for the customers.
I see what you are saying, I was under the impression that the Ranger was going to be sitting at a good height and I also thought would have 33" high tires on FX4 models. With just a 2" leveling kit and LT275/65 20s Firestone Wilderness M/T we are averaging 13mpg with no added weight with a 5.0...
I agree, however, I do think the Ranger will do better than the F150 in MPG. At least in gas form. I am anxious to see if and what diesel motor they put in it. I wonder if the F150's diesel would fit. I don't know how big it looks in the engine bay to say it would fit in the Ranger. Still, I...
Here is a our channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn5JeWYK5HlUftuYCQIRzCA?view_as=subscriber. We are new to Overlanding and have only begun to scratch the surface of the amazing pass time. We have a blog as well, https://westdakotasky.wordpress.com/ that is a small hobby of ours. We want...
Here is an alternative to both. OzarkTrail has a line that was designed to compete with Yeti. It was more in our price range and it keeps cold drinks or frozen foods for just as long.We bought a 52qt one at Walmart and were skeptical that it would do what it said it would do. However, when we...
The Ranger will get the 2.3l EcoBoost. The current version of the engine puts out 280hp and 310 torque. To start it should be plenty of power attached to the 10 speed auto. I imagine it should get ok gas milage to. EB engines are known for power but not great mpg's.

Here is the overall park with all trails mentioned. Be careful on the way out there, coming from Auburn there was a road closed, google and my trucks navigation lead us on an unexpected adventure. Just give yourself some extra time to get there just in case.
