    Utah trip 2020

Moab hotels are open, campgrounds are open, dispersed camping is allowed in authorized areas.. it'll be crowded and busy, but thats normal for Moab. I wouldn't ever count on finding a place via walk-up.. if you want a hotel/campground, you better plan ahead.

    San Rafael Swell

The wedge has "campsites" ie tables, close to the pit toilets.. etc, they are fewer than camping areas that are plentiful, especially along the southwest rim in the trees.

A couple years ago we camped in the area, we were shooting for Chute canyon but due to the amount of rain and how late it was we ended up camping at the trailhead to Crack canyon - once canyon to the east. I feel like Chute canyon has a better camping area for sure, here.. 38°37'44.79"N...

You can check out willow springs on the north end, I know there are some on the south but I don't have personal experience that direction.

From Grandbench/alstrom you can go up either Croton Rd or Smoky mountain road to Escalante, then continue on HWY 12 till Hwy 24, cut east through Capitol Reef NP, then decide from there.. lots of options for camping along HWY12 and HWY 24, but to actually get to MOAB, you're going to have to go...

Utah is open everywhere but Grand county (Moab) for dispersed camping, they plan to open when they open Arches and Canyonlands. That being said, the best way for me to help is probably for you to give me more specifics about the areas you'll be around when camping, and I can help with sites nearby.
