RTT for FrontRunner Extreme Slimline II??

I'm on my second T Stuff hardshell. They sent me a new one when I showed them where the shell was developing fissures. Second one I have kept waxed per recommendations and clear coat is still starting to peel. Guess I could put some kind of vinyl wrap on it but will probably look for a better...

The Bighorn Mountains are calling me

LOL, a full day drive...if only! Been there twice for about a week each time. Epic, keeps calling my name too. Most of the main FS roads were very well maintained. Some roads were definitely high clearance 4WD stuff. There is a lot of hunting starting in about September?? Fishing was good...

    Let them eat SPAM!

Better check if that's FDA approved. Robert Jr. may have an opinion on that! LOL

    Portable Blender

Yeah, blender at home mostly stays on shelf. Cleanup is always an issue. That's why why I don't cook that much on the road. Tend to stay on the move and like to sample local cuisine. I like gadgets too but I really have to closely evaluate how much use and space to store it.

    Portable Blender

Anybody use one? Saw it at Costco today. Not sure how much I would use it. Fruit smoothies would nice. https://www.costco.com/ninja-blast-personal-blender%2C-2-pack.product.4000270204.html

Pots and pans (and kettle?) - nesting, compact, not crazy expensive

I have some of these (not this particular brand) and have found them vey useful. https://www.outdoorxl.com/bo-camp-steelpan-siliconen-opvouw-1-3lt.html?prl=92-3471x144-3472&srsltid=AfmBOoomeqTCTapjz2w5RTRsr9KX70aEmb2pmP1xV6diMwagQHfKdI-2y00&gQT=1 There are some limitations but they do pack...

Wow! The family is full of very pushy advice.

I admire the ones of you that sell everything and hit the road. I have thought of it often, but now that I have retired and son is grown and doing well I don't seek the freedom so much as the adventure and the quiet high places, the moving water, the vast marshes. Lord knows the times in the...

    New to solo camping?

Always did like to push the envelope a little. Learn to pay attention to the little things. Trust what your gut is telling you. Hone your instincts. Breath deep. Go a little slower. Don't be afraid to turn around. Know where you are on the map. Don't totally rely on technology. Invest in good...

First time long-distance overland South Carolina to New Mexico

Hey Brigid, not a huge help on route as I have been traveling more northerly to Colorado and points north. Having a RTT you will be wanting a quiet place to camp. One I found that may be close to your route is just off I-22 in northern Mississippi in Holly Springs NF. Chewalla Lake Rec Area...

    New Scout: No discussion?

Since they are building this HUGE facility just across the interstate from my house I see a good bit in the news about the goings on. Certainly is blowing up this little town. Production is schedule for 2027. Guess I'll be ready to sell out by then since my property value has about doubled...

    Central Alabama! Roll Tide!

I did pretty much the same thing before I retired with the rig I have now. Mine is geared toward getting in AND OUT of remote fishing spots. Just depends on what your goals are and how comfortable you need to be. Maybe a few other minor parameters.

He who travels fastest travels alone. Weight is often the determining factor in physics. Hunger erases all fear. Trout don't live in ugly places. That's all I got.
