Rally Point Details:

I plan to camp at the Arrowhead Campground and head into the trail system from there. We will stick to the easy / moderate stuff. I was here in July and all obstacles I came across had bypasses if you don't want to attempt them. You will need to get a trail pass to ride the OHV trails. They can be bought at the Eldorado Outpost (4021 NC-109, Troy, NC 27371) or I believe they now sell them at the Discover Uwharrie Visitors Center as well (100 W Main St, Troy, NC 27371). A day pass is $5 if I'm not mistaken, but it would probably make sense to get a weekend pass.

The Arrowhead Campground is a nice basecamp and has bathroom / shower accommodations as well as electric hook up sites. Uwharrie is a national forest so you can camp off the trails in the OHV system, there just isn't a bathroom.

The easy trails can be compared to the forest roads we've ridden in the past but there are some anti-erosion features throughout the trail system that may require some maneuvering if you don't have high clearance. Think of them as large speed bumps.

Cell service is spotty at best in the park so we should plan to use GMRS.
