A bit short notice but on January 10-12th there will be a really low tide at the coast, great for clamming, and the crabbing should be good as well. This event will take place at the Oregon Dunes Recreational state park, most likely the south jetty.

The dunes park is quite expansive, I believe it's a bit bigger than Sand Lake- and there are sand lakes in the dunes that we can camp around- that or we can camp at one of the sites with running water, etc. I want to camp in the sand but we can leave that a group decision.

Currently Crabbing and bay clams are open, whilst razor clamming and mussels are closed due to domoic acid levels- that said the last update was two weeks ago. I will be keeping everyone up-to-date on domoic acid levels and opening/closures for clamming.

Make sure to have your clamming and crabbing license- the annual licenses for in-state residents is pretty cheap, like $11 or something.

I've scheduled the event for 11-12, but if things go as planned I will be arriving on the 10th to get things ready/felt out, and if that is the case anyone is welcome to join early.
