We don't make many waffles at camp anymore but back in the day we used a cast iron waffle iron from Rome (the Pie Iron folks) and they were certainly a camping favorite! Looks good.

I made some yogurt the other day and had a little left over...for whatever reason I mixed it with some of the Krusteaz mix I had in the pantry and THAT made an amazing waffle! didn't add any water to the mix, just yogurt and it gave it a sourdough kind of flavor. the only way I make waffles now and even the wife was impressed with them...

we take a mason jar full of the Krusteaz mix with us on every trip, all you need is water and no milk or eggs
