Hey! Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to set up work lights in your cargo area? I have the Leitner ACS w Gear Pod XLs.. Looking
to have wired lighting inside the pods and near the tailgate area to illuminate my DECKED drawers. Wondering if i should use battery operated LED's or
have a separate battery for lights?

You can hook them up to run off your cargo light switch. Does your truck have bed lights as an oem option? Mine does so the harness was already there despite not having the option on my truck. That's how I set mine up.

I used cheap LED bedlight strips then later added some pods.

On my 4Runner I installed a LED light in the hatch which I use as a worklight. I also put a similar LED in the rear dome light so they match. This provides plenty of light for camping and draws very little power.

In the shell of my Tacoma I installed two LED strip lights that are controlled by a dimmer.

Dont know what kind of rig you have, but these work well. One replaces the wiper motor cover one mounts to the inside of the hardtop and the other mounts to the bottom of the window itself. The last two should be universal in application.

I bought a set of LED lights to put in the bed of my truck. The courtesy light on the 3rd brake light doesn't do much, and even less when I have the roll up bed cover deployed. Here's the kit I have: https://amzn.to/31OSHAF

The kit includes 2 strings of 4 LED clusters. Peel -n- stick.

In the left side of the upper picture, I made a small box for the light switch. Also added a 12V accessory outlet.

I installed these 9 years ago, and they're still working great. These can be put in any vehicle.
