Winter Hiking/Backpacking pants

In the market for some new pants for winter day hikes and backpacking. Would like something warm of course but also breathable to combat sweat buildup...stretchy waistband would be nice too (it's winter, I'm pounding Christmas cookies okay!?). In Ohio, so something with sub-freezing qualities is where I'm at on these. Anybody wearing anything they like?

Eddie Bauer is rolling a 50% off the entire store sale...for those interested, picked up some fleece-lined Ascent branded trousers I love. Great stretchy fabric, warm enough for hikes as low as about 20 degrees but don't make you all sweaty in higher temps. Great for just wearing around the house too. I wear these Mountain Hardwear Pants. Great material that dries out quickly. Light and durable but not too thin. Love them. Sometimes I wear thick leggings underneath and never get cold. Shred the leggings when it warms up and you are good to go.
