Hello All,

We are based in the Tahoe area and planning a trip for Christmas break. For the summer we overland in a family gazelle ground tent. In the winter we often take our travel trailer which is only ok for the lightest of dirt fire roads. We know we could do alabama hills, trona pinnacles and death valley. Or we could tent it and do the mojave road but we are looking for some more suggestions. What are your favorite winter camping spots in CA with moderate temps or not snow. Bonus points if we can bring the trailer there!

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Hey there! You might want to create a new thread for your question since this one is specifically about winter camping recommendations in California - and you might not get responses like you could if you created a new thread with your specific question.

Anza Borrego down in SoCal is always another good option. My usual go to for quick weekend trips on the weekend.
