13 years in the Marine Corps doing aviation maintenance, 5 years as a Gas Turbine mechanic at the I level on T64 engines. Then I lateral moved and did 8 more years as a Flight Equipment Technician on C130s and V22s.

When I got out in 2016 I worked part-time at a gun store until someone suggested fire fighting, I was done working on airplanes by then. I applied at a few different places and got hired on at the first place I dropped an application. Been doing that for right at 6 years now and am a Firefighter/Paramedic. Our city runs our own ambulance service.

US Army Nov 1999- May 2020
SFC (R); Paratrooper
Duty Stations: Ft. Bragg, Ft. Jackson, Ft. Lee, Ft. Leonard Wood, Guantanamo Bay
Deployments: Hungary (Non-combat), Two tours Iraq, One tour Afghanistan
Joined as a 13B, Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember. In 2005 I inadvertently (long story) changed over to a 63B, Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (MOS later changed to 91B)

Joining the military was the best decision I never made, I joined out of boredom and my life wasn't going anywhere. I miss it dearly, I loved serving, it's been difficult, but retiring was the best thing for me to do when I did. My job now is just being retired lol, and I'm very thankful and grateful for how things have turned out and are going, I don't take a second of it for granted. My wife is still serving in the SCANG. AATW!

I am a disabled Vet, USAF 11 years, worked fighter jets (Electronic Warfare).

Was in Desert shield, Storm and Provide comfort.

Would go back in a second to protect this Flag!

For those military vets out there, please visit www.mindoverland.org. I help run a non-profit geared towards getting veterans outside through vehicle-adventure based exploration. We do 6 trips a year, mainly on the east coast. We'd love to have any vet join us.
