What's the best value for money Garmin GPS for Geocaching?

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Hi, I need to upgrade my current Garmin GPS purely due to the fact that I can't upload caches to it, I'm fed up with typing the coords in!

What's the best value for money GPS out there?

Thanks in advance

I have the GPSMap64. I get on well with the interface but for one thing. I used to be able to plug my GPS into the laptop and transfer geocaches by clicking a simple "send to GPS" option. That option is no longer available and the transfer of caches takes a little longer and a bit more is involved. There isnt even a transfer wirelessly option

Used Montana 600 and eTrex 20. Depends on your preferences, Montana - big screen and faster, but battery live is bad. eTrex - small and slow, but lives much longer. Both support geocaching.
