What did you get for christmas? Weird wacky or awesome dont matter show it.

I ended up with something strange when in indy i helped a family member get out of a bad relationship and i towed their car and stuff 50 mile to another location. For that i was given a really strange firearm. A taurus revolver rifle in 44 magnum.

I got a 7.5" antenna replacement for my little Baofang UV-5R and an All-Top trash bag for the tailgate/spare tire. The Trasharoo gets a lot of bad reviews for UV and durability so I figured I'd try a different brand for $10 less. And it's grey so I won't notice UV damage as much.

AND most importantly.... I got a new toilet! Yee haw!

My dad got me a wired one too... a RIA m22b .22tcm bolt action rifle. I need to go get scope rings and a set of optics for it today.
Ill likely never shoot this thing im not as into guns as i was a few years back so it will just be another safe queen. For coyotes and hogs its normally 400 yards or more and i dont think a pistol caliber is gonna cut it i usually use my remington american predator 6.5 creedmoor or 5.56 ar platforms for that. I suppose i could use it for skunk, opossum or coon but thats a bit overkill 22lr or 12g is what normally handles them. I may use it as a truck gun in the city thats about the best use i can think of for it.

Got some cool books I've been wanting for awhile:

- American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America, by Colin Woodard. This is a really interesting topic to me, that helps me better understand the people and cultures as I wander North America.
- The Art of the Commonplace: The Agrarian Essays of Wendell Berry
- The Art of the Personal Essay: An Anthology from the Classical Era to the Present, by Phillip Lopate
- Flash: Writing the Very Short Story by John Dufresne

Also got a Bolt Cable Lock, which keys to my van's ignition key, same as my two hitch pin locks and two other cable locks I use for bike, canoe, or generator. One key for all. I love these locks.
and a sweet Morakniv Kansbol Stainless with a 90º spine which makes it great for using with a ferro rod to start fires. I already have an olive Kansbol and like this orange one for treks away from camp where it will be easier to find if misplaced in brush or desert floor, etc.
and a few Snugpak Dri-Saks - completely waterproof and weatherproof (sand, dust, and snow) sacks for use as backpack liners or storage in my canoe and around camp. These things rock; simply the best drisaks I've found for the money.

I got a Boefang UV5-R with all the trimmings. Can't wait to get my license so I can really get to using it.
.

Hey @oldmopars - don't know if the guy is still making these, but I got a nice bracket for my Baofeng BF-FH8P (UV5-R 3rd Gen) from him. Here's the thread: Baofeng UV-5R Builder Brackets

I am always hard to buy for. Unwrapped a new ARB Chair and various photography gear. Love my new 3 Legged Thing Punks Corey travel tripod.

I got another tool box for the garage and set of tools to carry in the truck, sadly there was no RTT under the tree
Twisted mind that I have, my first thought was "Of course not. A RTT should be at the top of the tree."

My second thought was "Someone needs to make RTT tree ornaments so the Overlanders can all have that perfect tree topper."

I should probably head for bed before I come up with any worse ideas.
