Hello fellow overlanders!

My Overland travel has been typically on two wheels. I’ve come to the so called dark side of travel and bought a “cage”. Sarah likes the idea of having a roof over our heads on the highway so we bought an 04 Land Rover discovery last year and my knuckles have been bloody ever since.

I’ve got thousands of Kms behind me on my KTM and other bikes. Including the farthest (literally) reaches of Canada. Including the Trans Labrador, the Trans Taiga and the Dempster highways. For anyone planning a trip to those areas I’d love to chat about it :)

Pura vida!

Welcome to the OB family; my deepest sympathies on the knuckles. Recovering Land Rover owner here - and I know myself well enough to know I'll regress and buy another one one day. Owned 2 D2's - one was a 2000 (solid truck, built and sold), second was a 2003 that has a 99 RRC 4.6L under the hood with the top-hat conversion, tom woods treatment, CDL, Detroit Rear, and armored - over-built really, and like Eleanor in "Gone in :60" she keeps coming / going in and out of my life. She and I have an unhealthy relationship to say the least, and she shows up like a seductive mistress in my driveway. I've avoided her successfully for the last couple years - she re-appeared about a month ago taunting me with a for sale sign. There really ought to be 12-step meetings for people like me. Its a difficult thing to explain to those who don't know the joys of the green oval experience. If things go according to my plan, the next LR will be a 110 or a 109. Currently in a 2008 4Runner and love it. Pura Vida!
