Hi everyone my daughter (10) & I have done around 100 000 km’s in the past 3 years, all of Europe, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Middle East etc : we want to leave Jan/Feb 2023 from Spain via Morocco for whole west African coast. Sounds like some great trips you did.

Regarding Africa if you go from Spain to Morocco that is a great way to start in Africa and a kind of soft landing. Great country, great people and loads to see.

I can't help for West Africa however if you continue into Central Africa, and on to Southern Africa I'd be happy to offer thoughts/suggestions (I lived in Congo 2 years and Botswana 1-12 years, and we know a little of Gabon, more of Angola, and a fair amount for Namibia and RSA, as well as much of the rest of Southern Africa, East Africa, and North Africa)

thanks a lot really appreciate that - any ideas for finding someone who could be keen to go with us? I have a spare motorbike (that straps to back of the defender) and the friend from home that normally travels with us can't make the trip - really helps me having an extra set of eyes on the road - anyone you know who could be keen? thanks
