Hello, I’m up in Northern BC. My plan is to start adding hikes and off road adventures to this spectacular area. I’m still waiting for my 2021 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, which I ordered in May. While I wait, I’ll be adding hikes and camp areas.
Hey, welcome aboard! Awesome to see someone else from Northern BC. Judging by your name, you're not far from me. I did the Telkwa Pass this past summer and it was fantastic. Shoot me a PM anytime if you want a wheeling partner!

G’day. Another new B.C. Member. We are in the Sea to Sky and will be doing a trip across B.C. to Calgary in August. Also keen on more adventures around the Kamloops area, it’s so nice over there (w/o the fires).
Hey, welcome! You live in a fantastic spot. I assume, being local, you already know/have done the track to Indian Arm? If on the off chance you haven't, it makes a fantastic day trip.

If you happen to find yourself closer to Edmonton at some point in your long trip this summer, drop a line and we might be able to meet up. Cheers!

Hey! Yeah, we’ve done Indian Arm a couple of times but not in full for about 10 years, which is wild to think.
If we head closer to Edmonton I’ll for sure let you know. It would be good to see Jasper again after all these years, so it’s a possibility!

Jasper is spectacular. The town is really cute, as well, although I'm sure everything is uber expensive being that it's a tourist hub.

I'm BC born and raised, only just moved here, so I know more about BC than here, but I'll get out exploring once things settle down at home a bit.

Why Overlanding?: that's a long story lol...

I've always been an outdoor type of person and love traveling, camping, and hunting and also exploring new places. I'm also an gear head by nature and been around vehicles since I was as high as a pop can born in the "city" but always bored of my surroundings. I look at overlanding as a means to get away and enjoy what the outdoors has to offer.

As of today (October 23rd) I'll be purchasing a 2003 suburban. For not only overlanding but a daily driver as well.

Thanks for your time folks

Welcome aboard!

I was just checking out the satellite imagery around Grande Cache not too long ago thinking it might be one of the best places in all of Alberta for overlanding, with what seems like a huge amount of trails and FSR's to explore, so you are in just about the perfect spot to start exploring, I'd say.

Overland Bound is a great community and there's tons of good experience and people willing to share it, so don't hesitate to search around the forums, start a topic, and/or ask any of us whatever you need to know.

I think you'll have great success with the Suburban. One of the rigs on my expedition to the Rockies last year was an older suburban, probably similar to yours. Here it is in Ghost Valley:

Once you start a build thread in the rigs section, please do link it here so we can take a look. I've played with the idea of doing an older Suburban build myself. I especially love the older models with the double barn doors in the back.
