Hey all there has been a few of us kicking around in the chat room lately and the idea come up of maybe starting a weekly group chat ??? what are your thoughts is anyone interested.

I'm there with you Steve! VOIP conference call?
With a group chat if someone does not type quickly they get left behind (OB doesn't leave people behind) I think it could get scattered quickly.
With a conference call of some kind it could have a particular subject discussion (or no subject just BS) with a leader. Maybe a subject matter expert/class with Q&A, if someone is interested make time sign in and join the call. I do not know if it would be cost prohibitive.
Is here something like a group skype?

I don't see why. You can certainly organize a chat amongst the members, just like anyone can organize an in-person meet.

Yeh that could work would it work for us international guys as well ???
