I've lived in CA for 43 years, and I have never been to Big Sur. So, what better time than now. Me and the boys headed out early Saturday morning. We had no plans, just an idea of where we were to end up for the night.20180217_075249.jpg

We got to the Bixby Bridge, and had a tourist moment like everyone else. Luckily, it was to busy.20180217_122316.jpg 20180218_094013.jpg
Off to find our camp spot at Pfeiffer State Park. Unfortunately, our wasn't as nice as I was expecting . I did see some really nice spots. But our spot was surrounded by poison oak. A lot of it. As of now, none of has gotten it. They learned really quick what it looked like. The boys had a competition on who could make the best Harry Potter wand. They all had a knife and a block of wood

some pretty country. I used to hunt above Plaskett Creek , Nacimiento Fergusson Rd Los Padres National Forest back towards Fort Hunter Liggett. (Photo's were back in the 1980's)

I heard they blocked off the road to Plaskett Ridge now which would take threw to Fort Hunter Liggett, but Nacimiento Fergusson Rd from my understanding is open & will take you to Fort Hunter Liggett. Nice trek. I haven't been in Cali since I moved to Arkansas which is close to 20 yrs now.

This was at the Pfeiffer Big Sur Campground. We had a group of people, so they made reservations early. It was surprisingly busy for February. I'm sure summer time would be tougher to get reservations. Not a bad place, just watch out for the poison oak.
