In the US, a lot of amazing locations, sites, trails and overland experiences can had in National and State Parks, BLM areas, biosphere and conservation reserves; what types of areas have you explored and encountered some of your most epic and awe inspiring views and moments during your out of the US travels?

Hi Joe (and family)

Great question. So far our favorite experiences in Mexico when it comes to natural beauty have to be:

La Huasteca Potosina: To put this in perspective. The location I'm about to describe is 630 miles south of Eagle Pass, Texas. But driving across the State of Texas from Beaumont to El Paso is 830 miles. People make that drive across Texas all the time but they won't head south to enjoy something completely magical and culturally different. La Huasteca Potosina is a tropical paradise deep in the interior of Mexico. Filled with lagoons, Spanish moss, waterfalls, turquoise rivers, and lush jungle. There are countless places to camp in this region. Our campsite in Tamasopo may have been my favorite ever in 8 years of full-time travel. We did a two part video series on this area on our YouTube channel and it is absolutely incredible. Totally doable in one week's time back and forth to the Texas border.

Campamento Tlatchli: This place is just outside the city of San Luis Potosi. 539 miles south of Eagle Pass Texas. A magical adventure park located inside a National Park of Mexico. Again we have a video on this on our channel. Zipline, rappel, hike, all while in the clouds in one of the most lush and biodiverse areas in Mexico. And you can camp right there on the premises!

Santuario Piedra Herrada: This is one of the Monarch butterfly sanctuaries in Mexico. Imagine being surrounded by millions upon millions of Monarch butterflies. Yeah. Pretty unreal. 805 miles south of Eagle Pass, Texas. Again we have a video on this location if you follow our channel.

There are so many more. But this just gives you a taste and more importantly it shows you just how "close" all of this is to us in the States.
