IMG_0321.JPG I live in eastern Washington, but have driven to Alaska 7 times. I love to drive and explore, but none of these trips were for fun. I've done some pretty epic speed runs. My last trip was 2 days in my 89 F150 I built. September last year, I did Moses lake Washington to Albany NY in my Mini Cooper Countryman S in 33hrs, by my self, straight. Needles to say, I like to drive. Now for my topic, I done all this driving to Alaska and never seen a damn thing. So here's my plan, I'm planning a trip for next June-ish in my 1950 Jeep CJ3a. Yup, bone stock, simple, Willys Jeep. By my past records and lots of google foo, I figure I can get there in 2 weeks. That should force me to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Once at my destination of Homer Ak, I plan on shipping the jeep back out. Call me crazy, go ahead, I'm used to it, lol. But I think I could start a rally of sorts of vintage vehicles camping their way north. If any of this sounds fun drop me a note.

Made runs up and down the Alcan numerous times myself...never for fun. One year I went from North Pole to Salt Lake City in 3 days.
