Warm winch

Looking for info on the correct drum rotation? The forward and rewind go with the correct arrow however ….the wire rubs on the fairlead a lot . What could be going on?

Couple of questions....
What brand winch is it, and when you say "wire"...do you mean to say winch cable? Or is it really a wire. A pic would really help out.

The cable should be pulling from under the drum. So if this is backwards (which it sounds like it might be), you will need to reverse the wiring for the winch controller.
